UVL needed an AI-powered solution to aid in reducing accidents through driver coaching, to accurately detect and report accidents when they occur, and to provide the high-quality video evidence required to dispute false claims and identify at-fault accidents. Motive was the solution.
“Safety is the lifeblood of what we do every day,” says United Vision Chief Legal Officer Ryan Domengeaux. “We have an obligation to the motoring public and to our drivers, so it’s critically important for us to prevent unsafe driving behavior and accidents. Motive helps us do that each day.”
Accidents happen, but when they do, UVL wanted to understand exactly what happened. Without video evidence, UVL would spend months, if not years, investigating and managing a single accident claim to closure.
“Prior to dash cams, the resources spent on understanding what happened in an accident, and then dealing with the claim, was extraordinarily inefficient and expensive for us,” says Domengeaux. “It’s not just the money involved in paying claims, but it’s also the operational and opportunity costs that negatively impact the company.”
